I’m Rachelle — interior designer and founder of RD Studio
I have worked in interior design since 2006. Over the years, my work has grown far beyond choosing colours, furniture and creating visualisations.
Today I live and work in Portugal and support clients through the entire process — from an empty or unfinished space to a home that is ready to move into.
RD Studio brings together interior design, planning, 3D visualisation, furniture and décor sourcing, purchasing, orders, deliveries and the practical coordination of the entire process.
Why I created RD Studio in Portugal
Moving to Portugal and going through the process of buying and furnishing my own home allowed me to see an interior project from a different perspective — not only as a designer, but also as a client.
After buying a property, dozens of decisions follow: what to buy and where, whether the dimensions are right, when to order furniture, how to coordinate deliveries, who will receive them, what to do if a supplier makes a mistake, when to arrange assembly and how to prepare the home for move-in.
Managing all of this is especially difficult in another country, when you are still unfamiliar with local shops, suppliers and processes. That is why my work does not end with the interior design project — I also support the implementation and help prepare the home until it is ready to move into.
From idea to a ready-to-live home
For me, a good interior has to work in real life. That is why I pay close attention to planning, dimensions, furniture and material selection, and to making sure every decision can be implemented in practice.
One such project in Portugal was the complete furnishing and preparation of a 200 m² home, which was ready for move-in in 47 days.
Technology in my work
Revit and Twinmotion allow me to test design decisions in advance and show clients the future interior before implementation begins.
My years of experience with these tools became the foundation for another RD Studio direction: professional Revit and Twinmotion training for interior designers.
