Furniture check before purchase

Before you buy, I check up to four selected furniture, lighting or décor items against your room: dimensions, proportions, colour and how they work together.

You receive a clear recommendation for each item: suitable, unsuitable, or the characteristics to look for in a replacement.

The service is particularly useful before placing an order, when you want to avoid an oversized sofa, a rug that is too small, a badly proportioned light fitting or an item that clashes with the room.

What is included?

✓ Assessment of proportions and visual compatibility
✓ Assessment of style and colour
✓ A recommendation for each item: yes, no or what to change
✓ Where necessary, guidance on the characteristics of a more suitable replacement

What should you send?

1. Product links*

Provide online shop links for up to four furniture, lighting or décor items.

2. Room photographs*

Provide photographs taken from different angles to show the existing setting. Accepted files: JPG, JPEG, PNG or PDF; maximum size per file: 1 MB.

3. Room dimensions*

Give the main room dimensions and, if possible, the dimensions of the area where the item will be placed. Include a floor plan if available.

4. Your concerns

For example: “Will the sofa be too large?”, “Will this table suit my existing chairs?” or “Is the rug too small?”.

What will you receive?

A short PDF review with a conclusion for each item:
Suitable — worth considering for purchase.
Not recommended — with an explanation.
A replacement is needed — with guidance on dimensions, proportions, colour or other characteristics to look for.

The PDF is sent to the email address in your enquiry within 1–2 working days after all necessary materials have been received.
